This week the company DeepAI introduced a product called Zendo, touted as a point-and-click image classification tool. The new software allows citizen developers with no code development experience to easily point-and-click to create custom image classification tasks. These tasks can be used in a variety of business or personal environments and can extend to a wide range of different types of objects within the images.

I imagine the pricing for Zendo will change as the product matures but currently they offer a generous free tier that includes training on up to a 1000 images. For professional use cases they offer a Pro account at a whopping $1000/mo which allows for training on 10,000 images per month. Each plan includes an overage fee of $0.50/1000 images when using Zendo to run your task.

I imagine that the company will not allow for facial recognition as this could cause significant issues with privacy as already well-known in the artificial intelligence community, however I have yet to test it personally. 

Ways to Use Zendo Image Classification

From finding Waldo to classifying deforestation and disease, there are an enormous number of use cases where simplified custom image classification can be extremely beneficial. Within the landing page for Zendo you will find pre made tasks to find street marking, identify the credit card logo, find lesions within soft tissue scans, and detection of graphene. 

Applications ranging from agriculture to electronic manufacturing now use some form of AI powered visual classification systems to reduce employee overhead and more effectively manage resources. The possibilities seem nearly endless as the technology and synergy between technologies continues to grow.
